On a day when it seemed that everything that could possibly go wrong was doing so, everything came good in the end.

The pavilion heating was fixed, our caterers Three Little Pigs served up a cracking pre-match lunch to more people, and earlier, than they were expecting (we love you guys!) and our sponsors and guests got to watch the 1st XV recover from a calamitous first quarter when they went 14-nil down to a young but spirited Newton Stewart RFC side, to secure a comfortable 36-17 bonus point win and climb to 3rd place in National League Div. 2.
