This fixture away to Glenrothes had been postponed three times due to bad weather, but on a sunny Saturday it was a cracking match. The U18s hadn't played since early December, so were eager to get into this game. Glenrothes were a big well organised side and for the first five minutes or so both teams were sizing each other up. However, the Falkirk forwards through a series pick and go's and aggresive ball carrying in the loose soon created space to allow the backs to attack. Falkirk kept ball in hand for most of the game and through good support play starved Glenrothes of any decent ball. When Glenrothes did get a chance to attack they were met by a solid Falkirk defence. This was one of the best team performances of the season for the U18s and a good start to the cup campaign.
