Falkirk withstood some early pressure from Kirkcaldy on Saturday at Beveridge park with Scott Deny's try saving tackle the best of Falkirk's strong defence. That ended the home team's attack and Falkirk gained the upper hand scoring 2 identical tries from line out catch and drives with Duncan Scobbie getting both. Ruaraidh Limbert then jinked through the defence to score and although the conversions were missed Liam Edmond kicked 2 penalties. The second half started with a try from full-back Andrew Thomson before the game was switched to another pitch following an injury to a Kirkcaldy player. Falkirk continued to dominate and winger Alan Connolly used his weight to score in the corner. Rowan Crawford then powered over the line before No.8 Scobbie got his 3rd from a scrum taken against the head with the defence posted missing, Glen Faulds kicked 2conversions. Falkirk progress to the semi-final and the injured player is not as serious as the helicopter ride suggested.
