Falkirk got their first win in the Caledonia U18 league with a victory over Moray/Huntly at Elgin. Last week's home game with Kirkcaldy was called off due to a shortage of visiting players and the lack of game time showed as Falkirk struggled to find any sort of game plan lost ball in contact far to often. Moray with players down were making a game of it and it took a try from winger Jack Gilmour to open the scoring mid way through the first half and another from full-back Sean Taylor to make it 10-0 at the break. The home team replied with 2 tries before James Simpson burst through the middle to score a converted try followed by another out wide when Scott Peat used his pace to cross the line. The home team took the lead with 2 tries, a conversion and a penalty before Falkirk stepped up the pace to finish strongly with a second from Jack Gilmour and captain Cameron McKenna with a fine line break completed the scoring.
A good away win but more is expected as the season progresses.
